Vague terrain, terrain vague ? Un espace ouvert au cœur du vicus de Diodurum (Jouars-Pontchartrain, Yvelines)

Abstract : From an empty space, a "vacant land", acknowledged in the heart of the Gallo-Roman vicus of Diodurum (Yvelines), emerges a series of questions about its nature, its function and its status. It is also, more generally, the issues of its relation to the city, its space, its very structure, composed of "full" but also of "empty" spaces, which are questioned and which make it possible to indirectly enquire about built heritage.
