Les occupations humaines de la plaine maritime flamande à l’Holocène supérieur. Un changement de paradigme ?

Abstract : During the last decade, rescue archaeology research has developed in the French part of the Flemish coastal plain. Data from these operations are necessarily compared to the chronostratigraphic framework of the coastal plain defined by geologists. This framework, whose detailed historiography allows us to perceive the limits, has been widely questioned on other shores of the North Sea since the beginning of the 21th century. Owing to a very detailed chronology, this framework raises several epistemological problems that affect archaeological research in this area. Through the results of archaeological operations carried out at Téteghem (Nord department, France), it is possible to reassess the milestones of this compartmentalized chronostratigraphic model and to reappraise the nature of the human impact on this landscape history.
