D'une forge imposante à une écurie de la Renaissance au château de Caen

Abstract : This article presents the structural history of a large building excavated at the Castle of Caen in 2005. It was first built as a forge at the beginning of the Hundred Years’ War and then its use followed the political fate of Normandy up to the time it was converted to stables in the Renaissance period at the very beginning of the sixteenth century by one of the governors of the castle.
