Rouen (Seine-Maritime), rue Verte, rue Pouchet, premiers résultats de la fouille du « heurt du Chastel » (XVIe siècle)

Abstract : In Autumn 2012, a preventive archaeological project was carried out by INRAP in Rouen, at the intersection of rue Verte and rue Pouchet. It involved the study of a huge dump, known as a “heurt”, that measures 2,000m2 and is more than 6m deep. The very large volume of materials collected illustrates what daily life was like in the castle area in the first half of the 16th Century.
