25 ans de diagnostics archéologiques dans la ville antique de Carhaix

After taking stock of the research carried out in Carhaix before the development of an official archaeology, this article reviews the diagnoses made since the early 1990s, emphasising the administrative framework which conditions the prescriptions in this city. It also discusses the evolution of the knowledge accumulated over the last 25 years and the contribution of the data resulting from the diagnoses to the creation of a synthesis on the ancient city.

Après avoir dressé le bilan des recherches menées à Carhaix avant le développement d’une archéologie officielle, cet article fait le point sur les diagnostics réalisés depuis le début des années 90, en insistant sur le cadre administratif qui conditionne les prescriptions dans cette ville. Sont également abordés l’évolution des connaissances accumulées depuis 25 ans et l’apport des données issues des diagnostics dans la réalisation d’une synthèse sur la cité antique.
