Antibes, les défenses d'une ville côtière du Moyen Âge à l'Epoque Moderne (données historiques et archéologiques) : Un état des connaissances

Abstract : The city of Antibes was an important stronghold in the defensive system of the kingdom of France. From the early seventeenth century, the city is endowed with an imposing bastioned fortification that will continue to be maintained and improved until its decommissioning in the late nineteenth century. Several studies, both historical and archaeological, have contributed in recent years to define more precisely the conditions for setting up and extending the fortified structures whose current urban landscape keeps few vestiges, except for the seafront.
