Le verre dans la sphère médicale : une utilisation plurielle de l'Antiquité au Moyen Âge

Abstract : Glass and medicine in ancient and medieval times, or how to understand the relationship between material and discipline? The crossing of pluralistic data from written sources, iconographic, archaeological and chemical analyses make it possible to apprehend this theme. Although glass has been widely used in the world of care since Antiquity, the often plural use of glass containers makes this approach difficult. It is necessary to wait until the 14th century (and especially the 15th and 16th centuries) to encounter glasses known for medicine and pharmacy (urinals, jars, chemistry balloon, stills, glasses ...).
